What filtering control is offered?
Bopspams online control panel is accessable 24 hours a day and all alterations are changed and are active in real-time. Below are the sections of your spam filter which you may control.
- General Filter Settings
Bayesian/Statistical. Filters messages based on statistics.
Known Spam Source. Filters based on a known list of spam sources.
Known Spam-Promoted Site. Filters based on known spam promoted sites or companies.
Known Spam Content. Filters based on known spam reference within the email.
Probable Spam. Filters based on phrases or words common in spam mails.
HTTP w/ IP. Filters messages that contain HTTP links to numeric IP addresses.
Known Adult Site. Filters based on references to known adult websites.
Probable Adult Spam. Filters on adult phrases or terminology.
Probable Virus/Worm. Filters on files appearing to be viruses or worms.
- Encoding of E-mails
Bopspam determines all the different types of spam and lets you choose whether or not you want them filtered. We put spam into one of the following categories:
ISO-8859-1, USO-8859-2, ISO-LATIN-I, US-ASCII. Most Western European languages, including English.
ISO-8859-4, IBM775. Baltic.
ISO-8859-5, KOI8-R, KOI8-U. Cryllic.
ISO-8859-6, ASMO-708, DOS-720, X-MAC-ARABIC. Arabic.
ISO-8859-7, IBM869. Greek.
ISO-8859-8. Hebrew.
BIG5, GB2312, EUC-CN, X-CHINESE. Chinese.
ISO-2022-JP, SHIFT_JIS, EUC-JP. Japanese.
KS_C_5601, EUC-KR, ISO-2022-KR, JOHAB. Korean.
- File attachments
Block .EXE Files.
Block .PIF Files.
Block .BAT Files.
Block .SCR Files.
Block .COM Files.
Custom Attachment Filter - Ability to block any attachment
- Country
With Bopspam it is possible select and block which countries you wish to receive e-mail from. Currently Bopspam offers a selection of 230 countries which you may individualy block. The country filter may also be set one of the following regions: North America / Latin America / Western Europe / East Europe / Middle East / Africa / Asia.
- Personal Keyword Filter
Bopspam will allow you to create a personal filter. Any e-mail with a word in this filter list will be automatically classified as spam and will overide all other settings. The keyword filter can be used in either the Body, Subject or Body & Subject of the email.
- Blacklist & Whitelist
You may create blacklists and whitelists to either stop or allow email messages from certain people or companies. E.g. entering '@ebay.co.uk' into the whitelist will always allow messages from Ebay to get through.
